ADEON – a value-added distributor – announces the release of Xopero ONE and GitProtect version 2.5.0, introducing faster and more resource-efficient backup replication, improved Microsoft 365 backup and recovery, and streamlined restoration for collaboration platforms and code repositories.
One of the key improvements in version 2.5.0 is optimized backup replication, which reduces CPU and memory consumption while improving performance. In certain recurring scenarios, replication tasks can complete up to 66 times faster while using fewer system resources, helping organizations optimize backup.
The update also enhances Microsoft 365 backup and recovery by introducing Microsoft Graph API support in place of Exchange Web Services (EWS). This enables more efficient processing of emails, contacts, and calendars in Exchange Online. Existing backups created through EWS remain compatible with the updated workflow, so no user action is required.
Version 2.5.0 also improves data restoration across Jira, Confluence, and code repositories. For Jira and Confluence, a new metadata caching mechanism enables smoother backup browsing and faster interface responses during recovery, regardless of retention policies or the number of backup copies.
For GitHub, GitLab, and Azure DevOps, enhancements to repository recovery give administrators greater flexibility in repository naming, clearer notifications, and more consistent naming rules, helping simplify recovery workflows and improve administrative control.
