ADEON – a value-added distributor – is pleased to announce that Xopero Software, a global provider of backup and disaster recovery solutions, has acquired Vigil Guard, a cybersecurity company specializing in AI security. The acquisition expands Xopero’s offering by combining data protection and recovery capabilities with technologies designed to secure AI usage.

Vigil Guard brings its proprietary AI Detection and Response (AIDR) technology to the Xopero portfolio. The platform is designed to monitor and secure interactions with AI systems, helping organizations identify threats such as prompt injection attacks, control AI agent activity, and prevent sensitive information from being exposed to external language models.

For organizations, this creates an opportunity to take a more holistic approach to data security. By combining Xopero’s data protection and recovery capabilities with Vigil Guard’s AI security technologies, the expanded portfolio addresses both traditional risks such as data loss and ransomware and the specific security requirements of AI-powered environments.
