ADEON – a value-added distributor – announces the release of new Safetica capabilities, introducing enhanced AI governance and further improvements to data protection, device management, and security controls.
The most notable update is Safetica AI Protection, designed to help safeguard sensitive data before it reaches AI services while supporting user productivity. This capability brings together AI Governance and Data Policies for AI Assistants, providing organizations with greater visibility into AI activity and granular data loss prevention (DLP) controls.
Safetica AI Protection enables organizations to identify which AI tools are being used and for what purposes, understand whether sensitive or personal information is being shared with them, and gain actionable insights for reducing AI-related risks. This gives security teams greater visibility and context to investigate AI-related activity and make informed decisions about how AI tools should be managed, rather than simply blocking access to them.
The new AI Governance feature provides a centralized view of the corporate AI environment, including approved and shadow AI usage. Security teams can review active time, data operations, and the data classifications reaching each AI tool, helping them identify potential risks, understand how AI services are being used across the organization, and assess the effectiveness of existing data protection policies.
Another key AI Protection capability, Data Policies for AI Assistants, extends Safetica’s DLP controls to supported AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot. It helps security teams control how sensitive information is shared through file attachments, pasted or dragged text, and prompts. Data Policies for AI Assistants provides protection across supported desktop applications and Chromium-based browser experiences on Windows and macOS.
Safetica also introduces enhancements to AI Data Classification, enabling organizations to refresh AI tags, improve classification accuracy, identify unprotected data, and expand AI tag coverage from 30 tags to hundreds. AI tags can also be organized into groups, helping organizations better structure and manage sensitive data classifications.
Streamlined Device Management is another key enhancement, providing a clearer overview of device status, more detailed endpoints information, and simplified sorting, grouping, and filtering. The platform also provides recommendations to help security teams identify and resolve device-related issues more efficiently.
The latest release builds on these capabilities with further enhancements across the Safetica platform, including Safetica AI Chat, enhanced OCR capabilities, data policies for Git repositories, and more granular data controls for supported messaging applications such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Cisco Jabber, and WhatsApp. Safetica also introduces improved protection for copy-and-paste and drag-and-drop operations, better handling of encrypted archives, and additional improvements to platform and device management.
Trusted by organizations in more than 120 countries, Safetica is a global leader in Intelligent Data Security. Its AI-powered platform combines data protection, insider risk management, compliance readiness, and data discovery across both on-premises and cloud environments — helping businesses safeguard sensitive information and reduce internal risks.
